On Wednesday, January 31st, 2024, Bay Nordic is giving you the opportunity to refine and/or learn ski techniques from UWGB Nordic Ski Team athletes. This event offers brand new beginner skiers to advanced skiers the chance to take a cross country ski lesson from some of the BEST skiers in the Midwest.

You will receive a small group lesson with 1-2 UWGB athletes per group. Classes will be geared toward all abilities (beginner, intermediate and advanced) and technique of choice (skate/diagonal or classic/striding). You must be 18 or older to participate. When: WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 31ST, 2024, 6PM-7:30PM. PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY IF YOU CAN. General check-in with meet & greet begins at 5:30 PM; lesson start time is 6PM.

Where: ARIENS NORDIC CENTER, Wisconsin’s premier Nordic center, located at 1111 Round Lake Rd, Brillion, WI 54110. Park and go into the ski lodge for check-in. For more information about the venue, check out their website: https://ariensnordic.com/

Cost: $20* per person for a 1.5-hour lesson. This is a donation to the Phoenix Fund/Nordic Ski Team that helps support the athletes during race/travel weekends as well as wax support to be able to perform at an elite level.

*Cash or check only. Please make checks payable to “Green Bay Nordic Ski Team.” Additional donations/tips will go to the Nordic Ski Team to support a fund for new race suits/warm-ups for next season (NCAA approved).

Purpose of this event: The goal is for you to learn ski techniques from these talented athletes. In turn, you are supporting the athletes and strengthening our ski community. You do not need to be a Bay Nordic Member to take a lesson, so be sure to invite your friends!
